How we get paid, how costs are presented, and what a funding request is.
Effective September 11, 2026, last updated September 11, 2026.
What Foody Finance is
Foody Finance is an independent business financing referral service. We are not a bank, lender, direct funder, or investor, and we do not make credit decisions or fund transactions. We publish financing information for US food service businesses, restaurants, bars, caterers, food trucks, and distributors, collect an inquiry with consent, qualify it, and refer it to independent funding partners.
Program availability
Program availability varies by state. Merchant cash advance and other revenue-based financing structures are not offered to businesses in Texas, Virginia, or Connecticut.
Lead generation only states: California and Missouri
Program availability varies by state. Merchant cash advance and other revenue-based financing structures are not offered to businesses in Texas, Virginia, or Connecticut.
States we do not serve: North Dakota
In California and Missouri, Foody Finance does not broker, arrange, or negotiate financing. In those states we operate on a lead purchase track: we transfer your inquiry to independent funding partners for a fixed fee per inquiry, and those partners, not Foody Finance, contact you, take your application, and arrange any financing.
Merchant cash advance availability
Merchant cash advance and revenue-based structures are available through funding partners in most states and are not offered to businesses in Texas, Virginia, or Connecticut.
How we are compensated
In most states, funding partners compensate us after a referred account activates. In California and Missouri we are paid a fixed fee per transferred inquiry, whether or not you are funded. You pay us nothing either way. You are told the total cost, the payment, and the term of any offer in writing by the funding partner before you commit.
Affiliate and referral relationships
We hold referral agreements with the funding partners we refer inquiries to. When a partner we referred you to funds or activates your account, that partner pays us a referral fee. Referral fees vary by program and by partner, and what a partner pays us never affects whether we refer an inquiry to them. Partner selection runs on fit and performance for your business.
Related businesses
Foody Finance, Manufactor Finance, and Practition Finance are brands of JayBen, LLC. Eat Swiftly, our payment processing service, and TactStack, our website development service, share common ownership with Foody Finance through JayBen, LLC. We earn revenue from those services directly. They are never a condition of a funding introduction, and declining them changes nothing about the funding options you are shown.
Outbound links
Links to lender sites, government resources, and industry data are provided for reference. We do not earn a referral fee on a click, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.
Cost presentation
Some programs are priced with an interest rate and others with a factor rate. Where a factor rate applies, we present the total dollars repaid so you can compare options on the same basis.
Credit inquiries
Submitting a funding request does not require a hard credit pull. A specific lender discloses its requirements and obtains authorization before pulling credit.
No guarantee
Nothing on this site is an offer of credit or a guarantee of approval, amount, term, or rate. Program availability can vary by state and by funding source.
AI assistance on calls and chat
Calls and live chat may be answered by Fanny, an AI assistant, when a specialist is not available. Fanny identifies herself as AI at the start of every interaction. She answers general questions, collects the basics of your request, books time with a human specialist, and hands off the moment you ask for a person. No AI approves, declines, prices, or underwrites anything, and no AI can authorize a credit pull. A human reviews every request before it reaches a funding source. Our full AI usage disclosure covers this in detail.
What information we collect and why
We collect what you give us: business name, business type, state, time in business, revenue band, amount requested, use of funds, your name, email, phone, and any notes you add, plus text message consent if you grant it. We use it to match programs to your situation, to reach you about your request, and to introduce you to funding sources you approve. In most states we share what you give us with funding partners so they can evaluate your request, and those partners compensate us when a referred account activates. In California and Missouri we transfer your inquiry to independent funding partners for a fixed fee, whether or not you are funded. Both are a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable state laws, and you can opt out using the Do Not Sell or Share link in the footer. We never share your mobile number or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Three windows. An instruction to stop contacting you is kept for 10 years, so it keeps being honored. Consent records, including call and chat transcripts and recordings, are kept for 5 years from the date of the consent. The rest of a request is cleared 5 years after our last contact. Records tied to a funded transaction are kept as long as our recordkeeping obligations require. The full retention schedule, with fixed windows per record type, is published on the Privacy page under How long we keep it.
Requesting deletion or a correction
Email contact@foodyfinance.com with the subject line DELETE MY DATA or CORRECT MY DATA, or call (833) 505-1900 and ask for a human specialist. Include the phone number, email address, or business name on the record, and tell us whether you want full deletion, removal of recordings and transcripts only, or a specific correction. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the request within 45 days, and we tell you if anything must be retained for a legal obligation. Requests are free, and making one never changes the options you are shown. Deleting your record does not automatically withdraw information a funding source already received directly from you, so contact that funding source as well.
Imagery and maps
Photographic images on this site are generated with AI for illustration. They are not photographs of Foody Finance clients, staff, or locations, and they do not depict any specific business. State flags shown on location pages are renders from Wikimedia Commons, all in the public domain, and each page links to the source file. State and metro outline maps are simplified from US Census Bureau cartographic boundary files, which are in the public domain. Maps are for display only and are not survey accurate. Displaying a state flag does not imply endorsement by any state or government body.
Free guides, calculators, and checklists
Our guides, tools, calculators, and checklists are educational information about food-service financing. They are not an offer to lend, a commitment to fund, or a rate or term quote. All figures and timelines are illustrative, and actual terms are set solely by the funding partner after underwriting. Downloading or using a free resource does not create a brokerage, advisory, agency, or fiduciary relationship with Foody Finance. An engagement begins only if and when we mutually agree to work together in writing after a live conversation. This covers the financing calculators, the reading guides, the financing glossary, the equipment financing hub, the grant hubs, the Funding Brief, the state overview download, and the funding preparation checklist.
Location pages
A location page indicates that Foody Finance is taking clients in that market. It does not represent a physical office, storefront, or licensed presence in that city or state. All services are delivered remotely by our US-based specialists.
