Accessibility

The standard we build to, the controls on every page, and how to report a barrier.

Last updated August 2026

Our commitment

Foody Finance is built to be usable by operators with visual, motor, hearing, and cognitive disabilities. We measure against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA and treat a failure against that standard as a defect, not a feature request.

What is built in

Accessibility is part of the page structure, not an overlay widget bolted on top.

  • Every page uses semantic landmarks, a single H1, and a heading order that can be navigated by screen reader.
  • All interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with visible focus outlines.
  • Body and heading text meet 4.5:1 contrast on every theme. Yellow is used for fills, rules, and indicators only, never for body text.
  • Images carry descriptive alternative text, and images that are decorative are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Form fields have persistent labels, and validation errors are announced in text next to the field, not by color alone.

The accessibility menu

The menu at the bottom left of every page adjusts text size across 3 steps, underlines all links, reduces motion, raises contrast, and switches between 6 color themes. Your choices are saved on your device and applied before the next page paints.

Phone and human alternatives

If any part of this site is unusable for you, call (833) 505-1900 and a specialist can take the same information by phone. Email works as well, and a human answers email even when calls are handled by our AI assistant.

Known limitations

Simplified state and metro outline maps are decorative and convey no information that is not also in the page text. Third party documents linked from resource pages are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. Long comparison tables require horizontal scrolling on narrow screens.

Reporting a barrier

Tell us the page, the browser or assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days and give a target fix date on that reply.
