What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. We also use local storage, which works the same way and keeps your settings on your device instead of on our servers.

Categories we use

We group everything we set into 4 categories.

• Strictly necessary: session integrity, form security, and spam prevention on the information request form. This category also covers first-party attribution storage, which keeps the campaign parameters and referrer of your visit in your own browser so a request you choose to submit can be credited to the right source. It is never read by a third party and it never leaves your browser unless you submit a form. These cannot be turned off without breaking the form.
• Preferences: your theme, text size, and reading aid choices from the accessibility menu. These are stored in local storage on your device and are never sent to us.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (property G-5WDF56SSEB) counts page views and form events so we know which pages get read and where a form is abandoned. Microsoft Clarity heat maps and session replay load in this category when they are enabled.
• Marketing, advertising, and chat: Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and similar tags that measure ad campaigns and may build an advertising profile. This category also covers the LeadConnector chat widget, run for us by HighLevel, which loads its own script and stores your conversation on your device so it survives a page change. This category is off until you turn it on, and the chat widget never loads on the admin sign in or admin pages.

Google Analytics, named in full

Analytics and Marketing are the 2 categories that load a third party script. Both stay off until you accept them in the cookie banner, and turning either back off removes its scripts and clears its cookies and stored data on the spot.

• _ga: distinguishes one browser from another, expires 2 years after it is set or refreshed.
• _ga_G-5WDF56SSEB: keeps session state for this property, expires 2 years after it is set or refreshed.
• _gid: distinguishes browsers for a single day of reporting, expires 24 hours after it is set.
• _gat: throttles how often requests are sent, expires 1 minute after it is set.
• IP addresses are truncated before storage, Google Signals is off, and advertising personalization is off, so the data cannot be used for ad targeting or remarketing.

Every cookie we can set, by name

Strictly necessary storage aside, this is the full list. A cookie appears only after you turn its category on, and withdrawing the category removes the script and clears the cookie.

• _ga: tells one browser from another for Google Analytics. Provider Google. Expires 2 years after it is set or refreshed.
• _gid: tells browsers apart for a single day of reporting. Provider Google. Expires 24 hours after it is set.
• _gat: throttles how often analytics requests are sent. Provider Google. Expires 1 minute after it is set.
• _gcl_au: attributes an ad click to a later action. Provider Google Ads. Expires 90 days after it is set.
• _fbp: identifies a browser for ad campaign measurement. Provider Meta. Expires 90 days after it is set.
• _clck: keeps a Clarity user id so sessions can be grouped. Provider Microsoft. Expires 1 year after it is set.
• _clsk: joins the page views in one Clarity session. Provider Microsoft. Expires 24 hours after it is set.
• Chat widget cookies and local storage beginning lc_ or leadconnector: keep your chat conversation and its unread state on your device between page views. Provider LeadConnector, part of HighLevel. Local storage entries stay until you withdraw the Marketing category or clear your browser, and the cookies expire within 1 year.

Consent version

This policy runs on consent version 3. When we add a category, add a named vendor, or change what a category does, we raise the version, which asks every visitor to choose again rather than carrying an older choice forward. Version 3 added the LeadConnector chat widget to the Marketing category.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to see which search queries bring people here and whether pages are being crawled correctly. It sets no cookies and loads no script on this site. Ownership is verified through a DNS record on the domain, and the reports we see are aggregate counts of queries, clicks, and positions with no personal information attached.

What we do not do

Advertising cookies and pixels stay off unless you turn the Marketing category on in the banner or the preference center. Until you do, no advertising tag, retargeting script, or data broker sync script loads on this site. Sharing your funding request with funding partners is still a sale or sharing of personal information under state privacy law, and the Do Not Sell or Share link in the footer is how you opt out. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal automatically: when your browser sends it, analytics stays off and the opt out applies.

Third parties that can set cookies

Fonts, hosting, and form delivery are handled by service providers who may set strictly necessary cookies to protect their own infrastructure. Those providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use the data for their own marketing.

Opting out at the browser level

Beyond the preferences button on this page, Google publishes its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that blocks Google Analytics on every site you visit.

How to control cookies

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage in its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the information request form from submitting. Clearing local storage resets your saved theme and accessibility preferences to the defaults.

Do Not Track

Browsers send Do Not Track signals in inconsistent formats and there is no agreed standard for honoring them, so we do not respond to them. We instead limit collection to the categories listed above for every visitor.
