AI usage

Where AI is used, what it is never allowed to decide, and how to reach a human.

Fanny, our AI assistant

Depending on live specialist availability, calls and live chat may be answered by Fanny, an AI assistant. Fanny is identified as AI at the start of every interaction, and she is a synthetic voice and persona, not a real employee. Her role is narrow and fixed:

  • Answer general questions about our services, our process, and the programs listed on this site.
  • Collect the basics of your request: business name, business type, state, and what the money is for.
  • Book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment with a human specialist.
  • Take a message and route it to the right person when no specialist is available.
  • Hand the conversation to a human the moment you ask for one.

What AI never does here

No automated system makes a decision about you.

  • AI does not approve, decline, price, or underwrite any funding request.
  • AI does not pull credit, and it cannot authorize a credit inquiry.
  • AI does not sign anything, commit you to terms, or present a final offer.
  • AI does not send your information to a funding source on its own.
  • A human specialist reviews every funding request before it reaches a funding source.

Reaching a human

Say that you want a human at any point in a call or chat and the conversation is routed to a specialist during business hours, or a callback is scheduled outside them. Email always reaches a human directly.

What data Fanny uses

Fanny only sees what you give her in the conversation, plus the request record already tied to your phone number or email. That is:

  • Your name, business name, business type, and state.
  • Your phone number and email address so a specialist can reach you.
  • The revenue band, time in business, amount, and use of funds you describe, in the same bands used on the information request form.
  • The transcript or recording of the conversation itself, plus the date, time, and phone number it came from.

What data Fanny never asks for

Do not give an AI assistant your Social Security number, EIN, date of birth, bank account or routing numbers, card numbers, or bank login credentials. Fanny is not built to collect them and no specialist will request them by text or chat. Sensitive documents are only exchanged after a human specialist sends you a dedicated application through a secure channel.

Call and chat recording

Calls and chats may be recorded or transcribed for quality, training, and recordkeeping. You are notified at the start of the interaction, and you can ask us not to retain a recording of your conversation.

How long we keep it

Conversation transcripts and recordings are retained while your request is open and for up to 24 months after the last contact, so we can answer questions about what was said and meet our recordkeeping obligations. Request records are retained on the same schedule. After that, they are deleted or de-identified on a routine cycle.

AI generated imagery

Photographic images on this site are generated with AI for illustration. They are not photographs of Foody Finance clients, staff, locations, or equipment, and they do not depict any specific business or real person, including Fanny.

AI in written content

AI tools assist with drafting site copy and resource articles. Every published page is reviewed by a person before it goes live. Numbers, program terms, and cited sources are verified by hand against the source documents listed on each page.

Data used with AI systems

Information you give Fanny is used to answer your question and route your request. We do not sell conversation data, and we do not permit our AI vendors to use it to train general purpose models. Vendors process the data on our instructions only, under contract.

Requesting deletion or a correction

You can ask us to correct or delete what we hold, including AI conversation transcripts and recordings, at any time and at no cost. Here is how:

  • Email funding@foodyfinance.com with the subject line DELETE MY DATA or CORRECT MY DATA, or call (833) 505-1900 and ask for a human specialist.
  • Tell us the phone number, email address, or business name on the record so we can find it.
  • Say what you want: full deletion, deletion of recordings and transcripts only, or a specific correction with the right value.
  • We confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the request within 45 days, and we tell you if anything must be retained for a legal or recordkeeping obligation.
  • We do not charge you, deny you service, or change the options you are shown because you made a request.

Reporting an AI problem

If Fanny told you something inaccurate, misidentified herself, or kept going after you asked for a human, email funding@foodyfinance.com with the date, time, and number you called from. We pull the transcript, correct the record, and tell you what we found.

Request deletion or a correction

Use this form to have your record deleted, corrected, or sent to you. A human handles every request.

Submit a data request

Requests are free, and making one never changes the options you are shown. We use the details below only to find your record and confirm it is yours.

Optional, but it speeds up the match.

Tell us exactly what to delete, correct, or send. Example: remove call recordings and transcripts only.

Give us details only you would know: the number you called from, the date of the call or form, the amount you asked about, or the state on the record.
